SAFE ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2019
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- 3 Board members participated at Family Awareness Day
- All Board members participated in Coalition Strategic Planning Sessions
- All Board members participate on the SAFE Glen Cove Coalition Committees
- 4 Board members participated in 2 Shed the Med’s Events
- 2 Board members participated in NARCAN Training
STAFF
- SAFE welcomes new Social Worker to conduct elementary and Middle school LST programs and provide Coalition support
- All LST staff and Executive Director participated in LST Vaping Prevention Module Training
- All SAFE staff participated in mandated Sexual Harassment Training conducted by City of Glen Cove HR Director
- SAFE Social worker participated in NARCAN Training
FUNDING
- SAFE has sustained an increase in Community Development Block Grant funds to support the Community Walk In program
- The City of Glen Cove will continue SAFE’s budget enhancement to continue “Keeping Glen Cove SAFE” opioid prevention awareness campaign
DONATIONS
- SAFE received donations from Board members and staff
SAFE PROGRAMS/SERVICES
- The Community Walk In Program: 114 individuals were served (As of November 30th)
- The Employee Assistance Program (EAP): 44 employees were served (As of November 30th)
- Elementary and Middle School Life Skills Training Program (LST): :60 youth participated in the program
- Bi-Lingual Parent Life Skills Training Program (LST): 50 parents participated in the program
