Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. During this day Glen Cove Health classes compose “Letters to the Editor” addressing tobacco marking and usage in their community. Students at the Glen Cove High School learn about tobacco related facts from both morning announcements and school monitors. Previously students were asked to hash tag #tobaccotargetsme and #kickbutts on the school’s Instagram account in order to generate anti-tobacco related information.
