The Coalition’s Parent Committee developed a Bilingual Parent University Series in response to the Bach Harrison Prevention Needs Assessment Survey provided by SAFE and administered by the Glen Cove School District to grades 6.8.10 and 12. In response, the Parent Committee has partnered with the PTA to integrate presentations on substance use, Social Host Law and communicating with adolescence. The goal of Parent University is to heighten community awareness related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
